About Us

Soquel 4H is currently the only 4h club in midtown Santa Cruz. Julie Stacy & Jamie Lafollette are our current 4H leaders. We hold our monthly meetings at the Santa Cruz Children's Museum of Discovery

Soquel has a rich history of agriculture dating back to the early 1800s when Soquel Augmentation Rancho occupied much of current-day Soquel and Capitola with acres of cattle. Today the hills of Soquel are still rich with livestock, agriculture and equestriansCentrally located in the heart of Santa Cruz County.

Our feature projects include: Arts, Crafts, Community Service, Cooking, Fair Preparation / Club Fair Booths, Gardening, Horses, Mustang Colt Challenge, Sheep, Goats, Chickens, & Swine!

What is 4H?

4H is the oldest and largest positive youth development club in the United States. Here in California 4H is run through the California University System. 4H empowers children with the support of their club and caregivers to find their spark through hands-on experiential learning!

Why Join 4H?

4‑H empowers young people to be true leaders. True leaders are young people who have confidence; know how to work well with others; can endure through challenges; and will stick with a job until it gets done. In 4‑H, we believe true leaders aren’t born – they’re grown. 4‑H programs hands-on approach gives young people guidance, tools and encouragement, and then puts them in the driver’s seat to make great things happen. Independent research proves the unparalleled impact of the 4‑H experience.
