How to get started?
Community is at the core of 4H and you cant build community without spending time together. The first step is to jump in and start participating. Come to meetings, follow our club and other county clubs on social media. Keep an eye out for important newsletters from our club, the county, and state 4h with exciting opportunities and projects. If you have any questions reach out! Reading the new family manual, looking over project resources, and checking out record books and the achievement program are other helpful resources to get you started.
Find Your Spark
4H is all about finding your spark! Think of our club as a support network to help your child discover their passions and interests! While 4h meetings and events are an amazing place to build community the bulk of 4H happens at home with projects. Some projects have club or county-wide meetings and others families do at home on their own. Let us know if there is a project your family is interested in and we will work together to find resources and opportunities for success.
What can you offer?
As mentioned before, 4H is strongly rooted in community, so we all have to work together. Each family should plan to lead a project or activity throughout the year. This can be a one-time activity like volunteering at a local food bank, organizing a baking contest or an ongoing project like a fishing or hiking club!
